Pillar says my AirPods are not connected
Pillar only sees head motion while the AirPods are worn and connected to this iPhone, and only if Motion & Fitness permission is granted. Things to check, in this order:
- Both buds in your ears — motion frames stop arriving as soon as they come out.
- Connected to the iPhone rather than to your Mac or iPad. Play something to confirm.
- Settings → Pillar → Motion & Fitness is on.
- Model with motion sensors: AirPods Pro (1st or 2nd generation), AirPods (3rd generation) or AirPods Max. Wired earbuds and non-Apple headphones cannot report head position.
I said no to Motion & Fitness and now nothing asks again
iOS only shows that dialog once. Turn it on manually in Settings → Pillar → Motion & Fitness, then start a session again.
The nudges feel wrong — too many, too few, too early
- You → Sensitivity sets how far below your baseline counts as a slouch.
- You → Signal & timing controls how long a slouch must last before the first nudge, the gap between nudges, and whether Pillar backs off when you ignore it.
- If the readings feel off at their root, redo the measurement: You → Baseline. Calibration is what makes the threshold yours; a badly captured one skews everything after it.
I get no nudges when the phone is locked
The Live Activity is Pillar's main way of reaching you during a session. Check that Settings → Pillar → Live Activities is on, and that You → Background tracking is enabled. A Focus mode or Do Not Disturb can also hold cues back — and Pillar's own Quiet hours silences nudges on purpose.
Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds
All of it is in the Subscription Terms: what the free version includes, what Premium adds, the free trial, how to cancel in your Apple Account and how to ask Apple for a refund. Reinstalled the app? Use Restore purchases.
How do I delete my data?
You → Delete my data erases your history, calibration and settings and takes you back to setup. Deleting the app removes everything as well. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored where.
Feature requests and bugs
Both welcome at glowdapp@gmail.com. A description of what you expected and what happened instead is worth more than a screenshot of the crash — though the screenshot helps too.
